Poison Ivy

You look harmless

When I see you

Maybe even helpful

But what you project is not what’s inside

The effects of you last and linger way too long

It eats away to the core of my being!

Poison Ivy, I thought you were honest

I believed the lies you told me

I wanted to believe that there was something inside that was good

I wanted to believe that you had good intentions towards me

Of course that was never true!

I see I need to stay away!

You irritate me for weeks on end

You cut through my skin with no mercy

No feeling- no reason -no purpose!

You spread your envy and hate to so many parts of me

You have nothing to do

No purpose but to spread your venom to the next innocent passerby

To anyone who dares to get close to you!

Poison Ivy, I was a fool to come near you

Please release me-

Finally let me go!

I hope I never see the likes of you again!

I don’t even wish you another prey

I hope that your malice just comes back to you
